Sue Scher Bornstein, MD, FACP

Dr. Sue Scher Bornstein has been a practicing internist at the Baylor University Medical Center since 1995. From 1976 until 1986, she held executive posts in the long-term care of the aged, and returned to that field as an associate medical director in 1999. More recently, she has served as associate medical director of Baylor’s Center for Quality and Care Coordination and also for its Palliative Care Consultation Service.
Dr. Bornstein has been president of the medical staff at Baylor, chair of its medical board, and a member of its board of trustees. She also headed the task force to resolve potential conflicts between cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons over who can perform peripheral vascular procedures. She brings to her consulting work extensive experience in clinical issues and health care management, and a comprehensive understanding of the roles and functions within healthcare organizations.
