Geoff Tolzmann assists clients in physician group practices, academic health centers, and other healthcare organizations with strategic planning, financial analysis, business development, process redesign, project management, and physician/hospital relationships.
Mr. Tolzmann served as vice president of planning and network development for a large healthcare system from 2001 to 2005, where he redesigned the operating and capital budget process, created a system-wide strategic plan, implemented a regional network growth strategy, renegotiated and restructured affiliations with referring hospitals, and established a network of hospital-based laboratories. Prior to that, he directed the system’s contracting activities. He has extensive experience in healthcare finance and in practice management, having worked for university pathology, radiology, and obstetrics/gynecology groups.
As a consultant, he has functioned as interim chief operating officer for one faculty practice plan and interim director of information technology for another. Working with large physician group practices, he has led projects to analyze and improve physician compensation plans, physician fee schedules, financial performance, contracts, and operations and revenue cycle performance.
His clients include Emory Children's Center/Children's Hospital of Atlanta, Main Line Health, and Maine Heart Center.
