Judith S. Simmons, MD
Senior Physician Consultant
Judith Simmons consults with healthcare industry clients on issues in organizational management, health policy, undergraduate and graduate medical education, the healthcare work force, and minority health and education. She completed her residency and fellowship training at The Presbyterian Hospital, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University and is a board-certified internist and a diplomate in gastroenterology.
Prior to joining The Bard Group, Dr. Simmons was the Medical Director of the AIDS Institute of the New York State Department of Health, where she participated in the design, and supervised the development and implementation of the Designated AIDS Center Program and its associated quality assurance/data collection program. She has served as Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Health, New York State Department of Health and has also provided senior-level consultation on legislative and regulatory issues for the Department of Health. Dr. Simmons served as a member and subcommittee chair of the New York State Council on Graduate Medical Education.
Her clients include Bellevue Hospital, BayCare Health System, and Hartford Hospital.
