Priya Nair-Heatherley

Priya Nair-Heatherley manages and consults on client engagements in hospital operations, service line strategy and development, and the redesign of physician/hospital relationships for academic medical centers, complex health systems, community-based hospitals, and large physician organizations. She also designs exercises and educational material for client retreats.

Before joining The Bard Group, Ms. Nair-Heatherley worked for several years at Texas Health Resources, one of the largest faith-based healthcare systems in the US, primarily at Presbyterian Hospital of Allen. As Director of the Women’s Health service line at Presbyterian, she was responsible for operations at the Breast Center, and coordinated its expansion from 1200 square feet to 10,700 square feet with the addition of digital mammography and PACS. She also was involved in recruiting two staff surgeons. Ms. Nair-Heatherley held strategic responsibility for the obstetrics department, where she assisted in the hiring of four OB/Gyns, and helped implement single-room maternity care and cross-training for staff nurses.

As director of community education, she oversaw four instructors, program development, patient satisfaction, and marketing, expanded educational offerings to include support groups for breast cancer and osteoporosis, and added a women’s health advisory board. She worked with physicians to explore business opportunities including a medical spa, postpartum services, a pelvic floor center, and a women’s cardiac screening program. Ms. Nair-Heatherley also worked with corporate marketing to develop a plan for marketing women’s services.

Her clients include Hartford Hospital, Cleveland Regional Medical Center, St. Mary’s Hospital and Medical Center, Thomas Jefferson University, Louisiana State University, and Baylor University Hospital.
