Cecily MacArthur
Consultant
Cecily MacArthur manages and consults on client engagements involving organizational change, leadership development, quality improvement, and strategic planning. She has extensive experience improving business and human performance through the implementation of strategic organizational development programs in a variety of settings, including a major medical center and a large HMO.
Prior to joining The Bard Group, Ms. MacArthur served as a consultant to the human resources department at Boston Medical Center, designing and implementing a three-year plan to change the service culture of the organization and raise patient satisfaction scores. She developed custom training interventions for clinical staff and business units, coached management on organizational and leadership development, and created and delivered more than 30 behavioral training programs for Medical Center staff. Ms. MacArthur also led a process improvement team of outpatient practice managers to reduce the abandoned call rate, and designed and implemented organization-wide mentoring and career development initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she created and managed the Quality and Training Unit at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, where she designed and facilitated leadership development programs. Ms. MacArthur also led teams to redesign and document work processes and establish and implement new measurements to adapt to changing business requirements.
