Stacey M. Harper, MHA
Senior Consultant Stacey Harper, MHA, has led hospital partnerships to implement best practices aimed at reducing costs, improving revenues, and enhancing clinical quality. She specializes in performance benchmarking, with an expertise in hospital capacity management, case management, emergency department and inpatient throughput, and revenue cycle performance.
As a consultant she has assisted hospitals in increasing effective bed capacity an average of 20%, reducing discharge times by an average of two hours, and cutting the length of stay in targeted DRGs by an average of 15%.
Prior to working as a consultant, Ms. Harper was an administrator for the Chairman of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where her work included high-profile projects in business development, administrative infrastructure, strategic planning, market research, and clinical operations. She directed the department’s educational programs, including the house staff, medical school clerkship, and postgraduate medical education offices,. She also oversaw the Faculty Services Department, ensuring proper management of over 1000 faculty and staff appointments each year.
Previously, she was responsible for the overall financial management of a 500-senior assisted living facility. She has also served in a volunteer capacity as project administrator of an international health project to provide primary healthcare, training, and service learning in Honduras.
