Doctors don't take change lightly, Dr. Bard says

reporting the resignation of New England Baptist Hospital’s chief executive, Joseph D. Dionisio, the Boston Globe turned to The Bard Group for expert comment.
“A number of well-respected physicians have relocated their practices outside of the Baptist Hospital over the past two years,” Marc Bard, MD, CEO of The Bard Group, told the Globe, adding that physicians do not take the decision to leave a hospital lightly. “To an outsider well-versed in the healthcare marketplace, that’s often a warning signal that something’s amiss,” Dr. Bard said.
The exodus from Baptist Hospital included the Boston Spine Group, which left the hospital in May, according to the Globe report.
